What We Believe...

We believe in one God who reveals Himself to us as
Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Three persons; one God.
Genesis 1:26-27; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19-20;
John 1:1-3;  II Corinthians 13:14 and Philippians 2:1-11

We believe God reveals Himself to us through His written Word, the Old
and New Testament Scriptures.The Bible is inspired by God's Spirit
and is without error in all that it teaches.
Matthew 4:4; Luke 24:44-47; Acts 8:26-35 and II Timothy 3:14-17

We believe that God created the universe and all life, and that
humans are not the result of a mindless evolutionary process.
Genesis 1:1-2:3; Exodus 20:8-11;  Psalm 104:1-30;  Matthew 19:4-6;
John 1:1-3; Acts 17:24-28; Colossians 1:15-17 & Hebrews 11:1-3

We believe that ever since Adam and Eve rejected God,
ALL humans are conceived
with a sinful nature that rebels against
God and is unable to trust in Him.

We believe God saves lost sinners as a free gift
of His grace through the work of His Son,
Jesus the Christ, Who lived a perfect life in our place;
died on the cross in our place of damnation and conquered death
by His resurrection so that we may have new life in Him.

We believe that God saves lost sinners by giving them Christ and
His gifts through Baptism, the spoken or written Word and the Lord's Supper.
Through these "means of grace" the Holy Spirit creates and sustains faith in sinners,
and by this faith we trust in God's grace and strive to live according to His will.

We believe that baptism is the gracious work of God
and is for infants as well as adults.
Baptism takes place when water is applied to a
person in the Name of the Father and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit. God uses Baptism to give
us Christ and His gifts of forgiveness,
new life and the Holy Spirit.
John 3:3-5; Acts 2:38-39; Romans 6:3-4; Galatians 3:26-29; Titus 3:5 and  I Peter 3:21

We believe that the Lord's Supper should be received only by
those Christians who have been baptized and who have received adequate
instruction in the basic teachings of the Christian Faith.
In addition, we believe that we receive Christ's Body and Blood
in the bread and wine of the Lord's Supper and that this gift is not merely
a symbol or picture of what Christ did for us in the past.
Matthew 26:26-28; John 6:51-58; I Corinthians 10:14-17 & 11:23-32

We believe that Christ will return in glory one day.
At that time He will raise all the dead, and those who trust in Him
will live forever in the New Creation that
He will prepare for His children on that day.

We believe that this salvation comes through faith in Christ alone,
and so we share the "Good News" with all who are willing to hear.
